Oh Monday Monday........

why did you get here so fast? I wasn't done enjoying my wknd! Sometimes Monday, you can just be a real jerk. Just sayin...........

What is a good thing to blog about for Monday?

Let's talk about pet peeves! Good topic for Monday! My pet peeve for the day is SIGNS. Not all signs just signs that are advertising events that have already happened! Take them down! It's over!  Oh and political signs......ok I get you are supporting someone you want to vote for and want to share, but is it really necessary to have 12 signs in your yard? Did you do that on purpose or are they like rabbits and just multiplied?? Isn't ONE sign enough? Sometimes it makes me want to sneak in their yard at night and switch all their signs with another candidate's signs.....hehee but I wouldn't actually do that!! Instead I would make signs with one word each on them that reads  Stop  Putting  So  Many  Signs  In  Your  Yard.

Speaking of switching signs or adding to them....I laugh every time I drive by the auto parts store and see their sign that says " We have Lucas"   because I always want to add " and if you ever want him back bring me $200,000 and a banana split blizzard."

Now does everyone have the song "signs" from Tesla in your head or is it just me?

Praying for Japan

I've been home sick the last few days so have seen alot of the tsunami news. What a heart wrenching thing to witness. I cannot even imagine being there. I have noticed though in the midst of all that chaos the people there seem to be peaceful for lack of better words. What I mean is they are still kind to one another and no looting and no fighting. They are waiting patiently in lines for hours for food and water. I can't help to think if it was America there would be the looting and the fighting and the complaining that help wasn't happening fast enough etc etc......I think about Katrina and all the horrible press and how some people were so disrespectful. Maybe we should learn from this tragedy over in Japan. Not trying to slam our country, just an observation , and  I love our country so no hate mail please!!  I could go on but why get up on my soap box, I have said my 2 cents. I pray for the families that lost everything including the ones they loved.

Sorry Mae...& other ramblings by yours truly

I was informed by my good friend Mae that I neglected to mention our GNO at her place in January in the things I "could've written about" I am sorry Mae, just ran out of time to write everything, I had to get to work!!  But yes, we had an amazing time! I always love our January get together!! The games ROCK!!! And kudos to Melissa for guessing my "Saving Private Ryan" act!! LOL  Although I totally sucked at that headbands game it was fun too! It's always fun when we all get together and visit. Now Angie is a member  too!! :-) It was alot of fun and I can't wait til we can all get together again. We need to talk Trisha into moving closer........

I know I already mentioned this on FB but some of my friends aren't on there so I gotta tell it here too!!! Yesterday Megan and I are getting ready for work/school and it was time to let Luna in. Went to the back door to see Luna running around the yard with one of my flower pots in her mouth!! Megan looks at me all serious and says " Mom.....you should have talked to Luna about the dangers of pot. If you don't talk to your puppy about pot who will??"  I just started laughing! Luna may need an intervention!!!!!! :-)

Speaking of FB.....I put an add on there today. It reads " Free to good home: one husband with head up his ass. May need to pay for removal."
any guess on why my darling hubby is in the doghouse??? Anyone? Bueler? Bueler?
Ok, so Wed night he says to me him and a friend are going to go look at this truck . ( I need to rewind here a bit, see another friend bought a vehicle just for muddin over at the badlands and such. Scott of coarse is itchin to go. So him and another buddy see this crapola truck for sale and wanna check it out) Anyway back to the story, He says they are 'looking" at it and that IF they like it they are going to go half in on it and it should only be about $200. I'm like whatever, just " looking " right???? Right???? ok so I am in bed already when he gets home so yesterday morning he says as he is leaving for work he will call me later when I asked about the truck.  ( later I realize this is a sign of weakness on his part, probably wanted to remove his face from close proximity of my fists)  so he calls and is going on about how great the truck is. Oh heck with it, to make a long story shorter he informs me they didnt go half, he bought it for $500!!!!  WTF????????? Seriously????? Ok I know that may not seem like much to some of you but to me,  without even discussing it , is a big purchase. For a toy. Would he like it if I came home with $500 scrapbooking stuff?   I. Think. Not.  I think ok, maybe he is joking, until I come home and find the beast in my driveway! Of coarse he dropped it off and ran like a little girl to hide at a friends house! ( he says he was "helping" him with his truck but I say the little chicken sh*t was hiding!!!!) Not helping his case here......chicken boy. Anyway I am a little ticky about it. I know, it's not a huge deal and yeah I don't have a problem with him buying something he wants but I think a" $500 impulse buy" entitles me to gripe just a wee bit!! I feel better now, got that all out. Phew.

All the things I could've written.....

My poor neglected blog!! Maybe I should just delete you? Maybe I just needed some time away? It's been a long time since I've been on here. That's life huh? Too busy or too tired or lost the blogging mojo and just ignored it! Can't promise I'll do better either!! It's not like I haven't had things to write about, just life happens and don't always have the time. I could've written about Megan doing awesome at Jr Districts and winning 3 medals!! woot woot!! So proud of her. She really is a good swimmer, but she isn't sure she wants to stick with it. Think she is a little burned out or bored. Could be summer is coming up and she hates having to get up early ALL summer to go to practice, she says it's like going to school! Trying to figure out what we are going to do about that!! Hate to see her quit, maybe we can compromise.

I could've written about our new puppy Luna! We got her in January from a shelter in Decatur. It's all my friend Sharon's fault! She was getting a pup and I looked him up on Petfinder and saw he had sisters!!! LOL Long story short, we ended up getting Luna. She is a rat terrier blue healer mix and she is HYPER!!! OMG, forgot how much work pups are. Been a long time since we had a pup. I could talk about how the first 2 weeks I was weepy and felt guilty for getting a puppy, kinda felt weird after having Jake and Sadie for so long and then them passing and getting a new puppy. I know it's been awhile but still? Anyway Luna is doing great and we love her to pieces! I am just so ready for the puppy teeth to fall out! Ouch!!!!!!!!

I could've written about how it's been almost 3 years since Mom has gone and I still miss her every day. Sometimes so much that it physically hurts my chest. I do feel blessed to have had her in my life for 35 years, some people don't have that.

I could've written about how much I am looking forward to Spring and and seeing some color!! I noticed my tulips peeking out of the ground yesterday!! yay!! hey, it's the simple things that make me smile! Then Summer will be here and I do love my summers off with Megan!! :-) Can't wait to hang out in the pool! Wonder if Luna will get in?

I could've written about how my daughter turned 13 this year and I am officially the mom of a teen! wow! Time flies!! She is such a good kid, I hope it stays that way!! I'm not sure what I'll do if she turns into a brooding mouthy teenager. LOL Everybody says when girls turn 14 a switch flips on and watch out!! Speaking of Megan , she is still doing really well in school, was October's student of the month and continues to amaze me cause I'm not sure I could do her homework! LOL algebra and I are NOT friends.............

I could've written about My MIL Jennifer getting Megan and I hooked on this dark chocolate fudge popcorn that I can't find anywhere now!!!!! It's cruel really.....

I could've written about all the wonderful people in my life and how lucky I am to have them. How they lift me up when I need a pick me up, laugh at my stupid humor , and let me be ME.

I could've talked about meeting Deb for 3rd Sunday Market and how the walking tacos were gross but the rest of the day was great and I loved spending time with my sister. I am still laughing about that ugly red pipe cleaner Santa ornament ( that later spawned the video I made for Tina about Santa T Claus) lol !

I could've written about work and all the silly things that happen that make me laugh! Of coarse I'd have to change names to "protect the innocent" .

I could've written about how I catch Megan singing while she does chores and how she sometimes gets the words wrong and I crack up! My favorite was instead of " lay down sally, rest here in my arms" she sang " Dig down sally, I'll let you ride my horse!"   Then I realized she probably gets that from me!! LOL We get quite musical around here!!

I could've written about my favorite books of the moment, love Patricia Briggs (Mercy Thompson Series) and can't wait for the latest book to get here! Or the Molly Harper series that was only 3 books and I could have read way more! Then there's the Stephanie Plum series, 17 is coming out this summer!!  ( see a pattern here, I like series!) Although since Luna has arrived my reading time has dwindled to barely nothing!!! It's hard to read when she is trying to eat the book or barking nonstop because I am not playing with her!

I could've written about our trip to New York and Niagara Falls. That was awesome!!!! So glad we got to go and see the sights! NYC was crazy!! I am so a country girl, but it was fun to see. No way to be bored there on vacation. So much to see and do. Riding the subway was kinda scary at first. LOL Megan and Shae  Hated that!!!! ) Shae is Meg's BFF that went with us! Anyway we saw the Statue of liberty from the Staten Island ferry, went to Central park , ate NY style pizza of coarse which was awesome!!, went to China town, Little Italy, Times Square, Ground Zero, Wall Street, got stuck in traffic in the Lincoln Tunnel for HOURS and I really had to pee!!! saw lots of "interesting" people, smelled lots of smells ( some very EWWW)  and stepped around passed out people on the sidewalks at night (freaky).   Niagara Falls was cool, very pretty and I loved walking in the water at 3 sisters falls ( not sure if we were suppose to but other people were doing it!!) Loved the tours and all that touristy stuff. And we got so lucky, we went in August and while it was 100 here it was in the 70's there! yay!!  On the way home stopped in Hershey, PA. Loved it! wanna go back! Beautiful place and loved the little chocolate kiss lamp posts around town! Bought chocolate scented nail polish at the chocolate museum!

OMG, there is so much I "could've " wrote about!!! Guess I just did huh??

3 months?!?!

things that make you go hmmm???....

 Ever had a dream that when you woke up you were like WTH???? I had one of those last night. It made no sense and I should probably keep this one to myself....BUT.........you already know I'm kinda quirky so might as well blog it!  :-)


Ok so in my dream I am this agent of some sort, FBI, secret service, not quite sure ( but I am certainly bad ass in my bullet proof vest and Charlie's Angel hair do.) I've been on a stake out with my team and about ready to take down the "perp" I jump up and yell " Freeze! Drop your weapon!" and this weird dude is yelling at me " No!! Never! I am going to poop the president!" I was like " what?" he yells " I am going to poop the president!!" I stood up a bit and was like " I don't get it.....do you mean shoot the president? " he says " no POOP the president!!"  I said " You mean you want to poop a turd that looks like obama??" He starts yelling " I am going to poop the president!"and takes off running and I am yelling " someone get the whitehouse on the phone and tell them there's been a poop threat and to be on alert!"

then I woke up.
Guess he got away.
only so much can be done with feathered hair after all.

Any takers on deciphering this one???

Duct Tape: Not just for taping your kids to the wall

well now that I have your attention, I'm not sure where to begin this story! I am really tired so how about a really short version!!!
Megan has a wart on the side of her foot. It needs removed. I called her Dr and they told me to use over the counter meds OR cover the wart with duct tape at bedtime and rip it off in the morning!! Um excuse me? did I hear her right? duct tape??? The woman I was talking to said she heard great results from doing that. I can tell you this.....my child is not going to let me put duct tape on her and rip it off. And this is the advice I get after trying for a WEEK to get an appointment! Yes a week, that's alot longer version than I feel like telling at the moment......just wanted to share this bit of cutting edge medicine with you.

I also found out if you mix peanut butter with cod liver oil and apply to your head with scotch tape it cures male pattern baldness. Ok I just made that up.

just a lil humor

 A man and  his wife were awakened at 3:00 am by a loud pounding on  the door. 
The man gets up and goes to the door where a  drunken stranger, Standing in the pouring rain, is  asking for a push. 
      "Not a chance," says the  husband, "it is 3:00 in the morning!" 
      He slams  the door and returns to bed. 
      "Who was that?"  asked his wife. 
      "Just some drunk guy asking for a  push," he answers. 
      "Did you help him?" she  asks. 
      "No, I did not, it is 3:00 in the morning  and it is pouring rain out there!" 
      "Well, you have a short  memory," says his wife. "Can't you remember about three months ago when we broke down, and those two guys helped  us? 
      I think you should help him, and you should be  ashamed of yourself!"
      The man does as he is told,  gets dressed, and goes out into the pounding rain. 
      He calls out into the dark, "Hello, are you  still there?" 
      "Yes," comes back the  answer. 
      "Do you still need a push?" calls out the  husband. 
      "Yes, please!" comes the reply from the  dark. 
      "Where are you?" asks the  husband. 
             "Over here on the swing set," replied the  drunk.

ok so why do I find this so hilarious and why do I see my friends or myself doing this??????? LOL Thanks for the joke Mae!!! I needed a good laugh! By the way, do you have a swingset in your yard?????

I made a big oopsie, a flub, an out right bad call.  To make a LONG story short, Megan asked me about the easter bunny and what the " real deal" was. It went as follows......I'll change our names for story telling purposes, I am MM (Mean Mommy) and she is PC (Poor Child) it goes a lil somethin like this......

PC  " Mom tell me what's the real deal with the Easter bunny? I know it's not a guy in a giant bunny suit."

MM " you want the truth, are you sure?"

PC " yes, is it you and daddy?"

MM (short pause) " yes it is mommy and daddy."

PC (looking horrified) " IT IS???????"

MM " Oh my gosh you didn't know???"

PC " NOOOO!" (starting to tear up) 

MM " I am sooooo sorry I thought you knew when you asked me!!"

PC  "No, it was just a guess but I really believed it was magic and not you guys! I suppose you are going to tell me Santa's not real either!" (sees the look on my face) " Oh great Santa's you guys too! I defended Santa to all my friends too!" Real Crying begins now

MM  ( me thinking to myself come clean or say yes santa's real, yes? No? yes? no? just do it and get it over with!!)   " No baby I am sorry Santa is us too. "

PC  between sobs " What about the tooth fairy??"

MM ( staring at my feet silent) looks up timidly...

PC " Oh so they are all made up! This is just great!"  more tears..

So we hug for awhile and I TRY to make things better by explaining  the stories and how they are just fun for kids etc etc etc, then scott comes and and looks at us and asks what's wrong and we explain it to him so he's trying to help ........let me tell you, I have so many words or emotions I could describe to explain how I felt but let's just use crap. I. FELT. LIKE. CRAP. I just broke her heart and ripped away her childhood! ( later that evening Scott informs me I am being way over dramatic and the kid is 12 now and it's time for her to know the truth so she doesn't get her ass kicked at school defending the easter bunny or santa)   See how we just balance each other out?? Anyway, I know she is older than most kids when it comes to finding out the truth, but it still kinda stung a little. Kinda bittersweet I guess. I sure as heck didnt enjoy being the one to burst her magic bubble either! Needless to say I KNOW THESE THINGS HAPPEN and it's part of growing up, just made me a little sad. So I felt like I had a stupid mom moment ( hate those!) but of coarse Scott is STILL laughing about it AND told his coworkers who now yell "SANTA KILLER!" to me whenever he calls me from work and ask if I will be killing Cupid next.  ha ha very funny 

We also discussed the real meaning of Easter and had a long talk about Jesus. Then Megan says " since we're talking about Jesus and the Bible, I have a question. I don't get what the deal with Moses is, he was just a man so how did he part the sea and free the slaves? " So I try to explain that the best I ( my best probably being someone else's worst)  can and basically tell her God worked through Moses. 

So she says " Oh, so Moses was a tool."  Which by this time I was feeling a lil slap happy and boy did that hit me wrong! Yes I laughed, yes I explained why  I laughed when she's looking at me like I have just gone mad, because a tool is slang for jerk, and she was all laughing then and apologizing to Moses. 

It was a long night......................................

they just don't make Easter like they used to................

I have to share these adorable little Easter bunny marshmallow pops we found at CVS. Well, at least one is a bunny.....I'm not sure what the other one is!! Maybe it's the new WTF? Bunny , or my guess is the Easter Yeti.  All I know is Megan and I were cracking up at this find!!!!!! OMG!!!!

maybe Chuck Norris ate the bunny pop and this is what came out afterwards??? I just don't know but as I have a warped sense of humor this just made me laugh til I cried!!! You should have seen the check out lady's face at CVS when I set that up there! she was like " what is that? That is so wrong, that has to be a mistake!" I'm all like " I know!!! Isn't it great? It's hilarious!!" She said " you are actually buying it???"  Um, hells yeah I am buying it!!! It's too funny to pass up!! Who else gets Easter Yeti's in their baskets??????

FINALLY!!!!! I won on Ebay!! WHOOOOPDEEEDOOO!!!! :-) About time!! I told ya Tina that I'd get my stuff!! Not that I am proud of being a sneaky outbidder, but damn, feels good to win! LOL

And now I am officially sick of Ebay for awhile! After a week I'm DONE! Oh I am sure it will tempt me again, but I am good for now! Besides I have more important things to do....like beat Angie and Tasha at Super Farkle!! heehee ( love you guys!)

Got a chance for some girl time on saturday with Tina, Angie and Heather. That was awesome and well needed! Thanks girls!!

Megan still has a cough but slowly feeling better. Although I am afraid for her this week, roller skating in PE which she had never done before! Today was her first day, she said she got freaked out and cried and crawled on the floor ( yeah, I'm sure no one in JR HIGH will make fun of her for that!) and so the PE teacher led her around and she said she fell numerous times. I hope she gets over her nerves and has fun! I also hope she doesn't get hurt!! Poor child inherited my gracefulness ( -0 on a scale of 1 to 10) Anyhoo, wish her luck!!!

Better go, have a few things to do before LOST comes on!! I love to hate that show!

It's almost SPRING!! and other misc hooplah...

Can I get a WOOT WOOT??? I am so ready for some green grass (even though I hate the smell of fresh cut grass) and bright colored flowers!( can't wait to see some tulips and daffodils in the yard!) Especially looking outside today, it is so gloomy! Bluck! It was gorgeous for most of the week but we've been cooped up inside with sinus infections. Double Bluck. Poor Megan's had it the worst!! She has missed all week at school and has ran a fever for 5 days now and her sinuses have been so full she had drainage out her eye! I know, gross right??? (Triple Bluck??) Anyway that part has been a lil freaky , but her eye looks so much better today thank goodness! I have been feeling so bad for her! I just want my girl back to being healthy and happy! I've only worked 3 trips this week which actually isn't a horrible thing considering how crazy things have been at work , but being sick and cooped up is No Fun!

I have to say being home all day.....well.......the whole cabin fever plays a big part (that's my story and I am sticking to it!!) but I think I may have a slight addiction to Ebay!! Oh how I hate to be outbid by those....those sneaky outbidders!!!!!!! Grrrr. Scott was laughing at me last night, he was like " Just go buy whatever it is your after and stop trying to win it at an online auction that you know you will get outbid on." I'm like "Ohhhhh no......I WILL prevail sooner or later and get what I want for less money! I will just have to become one of those I hate, a sneaky outbidder!!" (shutter at the thought)

Congrats to Megan!

The swim meet went great! Megan won a medal in all 3 of her events! 2nd place in breast, and 5th and 8th in her 2 freestyle races! woohoo! way to go punkin!! :-) I did learn that day that some parents are just a-holes and want to blame everyone else for their shortcomings and it's best just to ignore them!! We're there to let the kids swim, not to be mean to each other.....(common sense if ya ask me)

Anyhoo......she was very happy and we're all really proud of her!! I can't seem to load the picture so I'll try again later! I am still trying to figure out the new computer and the photo stuff with this iMac! very different from my old PC!

It's Friday!! Can I get a woot woot???

ahhhh......Fridays, such a wonderful thing!! It's been a Caaarazy week at work ( I always love getting called a b*tch!) These teens are gonna drive me to drink!

In case anyone wondered, Megan's slumber party went fantastic! No drama! No crying! No trashed house! Gotta love it.........

Megan has a big swim meet early tomorrow morning so no sleepin in :-( but there's always Sunday! :-) Speaking of sleeping, finally used to the new bed! Still thinking I might need a step stool to get into it, but hey, it's comfy!! Although if I roll over and get to close to Scott's side he mumbles " neutral zone!" at me. There's his side, my side and the middle is neutral. It's kind of a joke with us because he says I am a bed hog when it's really HIM who is the bed hog!! After all he is always on my side when I wake up, so there!! He's the piggie! oink oink jerkie boy!! ( yeah, he never reads my blog so I am safe!!)

my baby is 12 today!

Happy birthday to Megan!!!!

time sure flies! had a good w/e, Megan went to a sleepover on Saturday so Scott and I had a date night! Then on Valentine's day we went to Lone Star for lunch then took Megan shopping at the mall. Her daddy spoiled her just a wee bit but that's ok. :-) She's going to have a slumber party on Sat (wish me luck!) I have a feeling w/ who all she invited there's going to be some drama goin down!

When is Spring getting here???

I hate to rush things and I am not trying to wish my days away, but I am ready for SPRING!! Or at the least some nicer weather! At least it's lovely and green at my Farmville farm! :-) That reminds me, Tina jokingly asked if she could claim her farm on her taxes! heehee! Too funny! The roads were a little iffy in spots today and we were running a few minutes behind anyway because Megan forgot to print out an article for Science class and we were out of printer paper so I had her use the back of one of my time sheets! LOL, ooopsies! Do whatcha gotta do right?

Oh and BTW, the roads were not better when I left again yesterday!! But we lucked out and got to leave 5 mins early from school on my last route! woohoo! (insert sarcasm here)

winter wonderland.....again.......

I don't know, might just be me, but when roads get plowed shouldnt they plow the whole road not just part of it??? Like maybe make room for more than one car to be driving on "road" and not in a" drift"? And yep it is still snowing.......1 route down and 3 more to go! whooppeeee!!! ( I was hoping for a snow day!)

Well, I would love to tell you I slept like a dream on my new bed last night but that isn't the case at all!! They did say to give it a week or 2 to get used to it, so I hope it gets better!! The bed is huge!!!!! It's way taller than our old mattress ( I can turn the ceiling fan and light on with my toes!!! Like monkey feet!!!!) Anyway, Scott took yesterday off to go get it and set it up before the snow hit. Of coarse when he got there the guy we'd been dealing with was gone so he got some jackass who was more worried about flirting with some girl than to help Scott (bad move slick, ya dont know my hubby) so Scott filled out the form wrote a check and when he said he'd take the bed the guy was like, we dont have it and dont know when it will be here. Scott told him we were told they were in stock and the guy was like yeah well we sold them all. SOOOOO.....Scott told him to take a flyin leap and ripped up the check and left with no bed! He called me and said we needed to find a different bed somewhere else. (yay back to square one!) So I took part of the afternoon off and met him in town where we found this other bed and it was in stock and we came home with it. We set it up and just stood there laughing!!! We have a sleigh bed and you can barely see the footboard!! LOL, yeah it's huge! I told him to please install running boards along the side so I can get in the bed. I'm sure it will take me a few nights to get used to it. Tossed and turned all night while he slept and talked in his sleep all night!! ( he has quite the potty mouth!) I'm also thinking I might need a parachute in case I fall out of bed.

Well I guess I should get going and get ready to head back out into the winter wonderland.....maybe the other side of the roads will be plowed now. :-) Have a great day!!

In case you were wondering......

I don't have stones, (diamonds, garnets or Gall)......so that's good news! yay me! :-)

Busy weekend meets Monday morning = tired me. We spent all w/e looking at mattresses for our bed, we need a new one badly! I figured it would be easy to pick one we liked. I was so wrong. It rates right up there (for me) w/ bra and shoe shopping! UGH!! Anyway finally decided on one (yay!!) and ordering it tonight. Next on the agenda, car shopping!! Can I get woot woot!! :-)

Suppose to get more snow today thru Wed, yippee skippee, I hate driving in all the wintery muck, I fear I'll get stuck in the work van w/ teenagers! AHHHHH!! Scary thought! If you knew the teens I am talking about you would understand my fear.....I actually just shivered at the thought.

Megan went to the mall Saturday w/ some of her friends.......I was nervous but Shae's mama was with them so it's not like they were on their own, if that was the case I would have said NO or would have stalked them thru the mall to keep an eye on my child. They did Glo Golf and build a bear and I only called her once to check in (texting doesnt count right??)

Trying to decide what to do for her b-day , she wants a slumber party which is fine but she wants to do something "fun" but unsure what to do.

Anyhoo, better get going, almost time for pre-k! Have a good day, it is Monday I know, but hang in there!!

ok, I KNOW I have been neglecting my blog.....shame on me, I blame it on my addiction to Facebook!! Who has time to blog after reading everyones updates and making comments and checking out new photos, etc etc...... plus I have farmville to harvest and zoo world to tend to....and all the other stuff that pops up like super farkle and sending flowers and gifts....you get the idea! So Tasha, thank you for bringing it to my attention that my blog was being so rudely ignored (and yes being it is February the Christmas background had to go!!) so I apologize to my many ( 4?? 5??) blog readers out there! I should be beaten with a wet noodle and sent to bed without dessert tonight.

I have actually thinking about just saying goodbye to the whole blogging thing......apparently I'm not that good at it!! LOL!!

Anyway, it's been awhile since I posted anything, the holidays were wonderful (even though it is still rough with out Mom) and my birthday (on Jan 18th) was great! I have some amazing people in my life that I am so grateful for!! Thanks to Jody P., Sherri and Tina for my "Mini surprise party" even though I didnt realize it was for me at first....heehee :-) The cake was yummy and there's still a balloon floating around the house. January was sooo busy!!! I (whom hardly EVER goes out) had 3 girls nights in January!! The first for my b-day ( which was a total blast, I hadn't laughed so hard or drank so much in a long long time!!!("it's best just to let her finish" seems to be our new saying) , the 2nd for Mae's get together where board games totally rock and watermelon wine is actually not bad!! Then 3rd over to Sherri's for a Just For Women party......which what can I say about that?? Seen lots of interesting things and tried on lots of smell good stuff that had pheromones in it that supposedly attract your mate (woohoo) but honestly does it actually work???.....it apparently worked on my cat because that night he wouldn't leave me alone! He kept biting me and trying to lay on my head and had his paws in my hair and I woke up once to him trying to hump my arm!! GEESH!!! Not the kinda action one hopes for , getting violated by your cat. That is also the night I came home to find him wearing a purse though, so really, I guess my cat just has some issues at the moment. Not something you see on Animal Planet now is it???

Onto other breaking news (beep beep beep beep)

Megan has a birthday coming up!!! On the 16th my little girl will be 12!!! TWELVE!!!!!! I can't believe it!! Still doing awesome in school, hangin with a new posse as she calls it, and getting ready for Jr Districts in her swimming.She's done really well this season, very proud of her. She has shot up to about 5'5, almost as tall as me! She's taller than a few family members which she giggles about (like Aunt Angie) but I wont mention any names.... :-} She's starting to notice boys are "cute" but doesn't have a BF (cause really, what's the point in that?) and ( most of the boys at school just aren't smart enough) and my favorite, ( I don't know anything about being a girlfriend! I'm just a kid for pete's sake!) So for now Scott and I are safe! :-) Just the way we like it.....we plan on scaring all the boys away anyway...heehee. Speaking of Scott, he's doing fine, working alot and bringing home the bacon! ( Literally, we got a whole pig and a cow too!) I'm still trying to stay sane driving and monitoring all these kids around M-F. So all in all things are peachy.

I had to go have an ultrasound today, I may have gallstones (eww) so see what the Doc says about that next week. If I do have stones I hope they are either diamonds or garnets!! hardy har har! Oh c'mon I may write this garbage but YOU read it!! :-)

So in case it's awhile before I post again, Happy Valentine's Day, St Patrick's Day and Easter!!

I guess Season's Greetings are in order! :-) I am actually almost ready this year....no last minute shopping on the 24th this year!! No tree up yet, hopefully SOON. I am ready to wrap presents ( I want my closets back!! )

Oh before I forget, Megan made student of the month for October! Isn't that cool?? I am so proud of her, she is doing so well in school and making new friends. Yay Megan!! :-)

My friend Tammy had her baby , Isabella Ann, on Sunday, she's so cuuuute!! Congrats Tammy!!

Not much else to tell on the homefront. Things are going well. I hosted Thanksgiving this year for the first time. I think it went well....it was nice to be with my family and I enjoyed it. Didn't have much left over turkey so I guess Scott did a good job!!

Gotta run, going to be late for work if I don't get a move on!! Love to all!
