Happy Easter Yo!!

yeah the kids are all Easta gangsta. hardy har har. And no, Sadie did not enjoy wearing the bunny ears. Hence the fact Megan is holding her in the pics. But she looks so cute!!

It's Spring Break Ba-by!!

awe......Spring Break.........what can I say?? A whole week off to do whatever I want. I can sleep in and not fix breakfast til 10 and stay in my jammies. Sure my hair may be sticking straight up and I may not get a shower til noon, but hey, life is good while on break! My house is clean (let's hope it stays that way at least another 24 hours) Megan's room is clean ( It's an Easter miracle!) and I can actually write on my blog. Not that I have much to write about! I get credit for trying though right? :-)

Hopefully the Easter Bunny was good to you all. I explained the whole Bunny & Egg thing to my sisters. How the bunny steals eggs from the unsuspecting chickens and then paints them so the chickens cannot identify their own eggs and then hides them ... it's sort of like the Bunny is some frat rabbit playing a trick on the sorority chicks. It makes perfect sense does it not??? The bunny of coarse doesn't get caught cause he doesnt keep the stolen goods. He probably then gets drunk & TP's the chicken coop. That's another story though. Anyway, it made sense to Debbie & Carla ( which may or may not speak volumes for our cognitive mental processing.)
Anyhoo, Debbie said Mom would have loved that explanation. I think so too. :-) I sure do miss her.

Ok before I get all sappy I should change the subject. Oh like how I slept like kaka last night! I even woke up at 3 when Scott got home from work (overtime baby!) and in my half awake/ half asleep stupor I got up and ran into the wall. I made a sound/word that sounded like "Snarf!" Now those of you who know me realize I do tend to make up my own words. But Snarf??? What does that mean??
I guess Snarf means " Holy sh*t I just ran into a wall!" Hopefully I won't snarf again tonight. It hurts my face.

Hair of the Tiger

Hello Hello!! Haven't blogged in awhile, thought I better check in. Hope everyone had a good St Patty's Day! You know how some people are all like "Ugh, it's friday the 13th!" and expect bad things to happen? Not me, I actually have good Friday the 13th's. BUT St Patrick's Day on the other hand, well that's my 13th. Always has been....so you think I would have been on guard yesterday. Horrible day at work( all the leprachauns were restless I guess) and I got pulled over for speeding!!! I have never been pulled over!! Luckily I didnt get a ticket, so that's a good thing, and the cop didn't try and steal me lucky charms. heehee

OH. My. Goodness. I went out with Angie last friday night.......it was a spur of the moment thing and we were unsure what to do.........we decided to just do something silly. Well, Angie sure as heck took the silly part to heart. That girl cracks me up!!!( Gotta say, loved the blue streaks in her hair!) It'll take too long to explain all the stuff we did but it was great! By the end of the night my head and tummy hurt from laughing so hard!!!!!!! We had alot of fun and I am so grateful to have someone like her to just be silly with!

This morning Megan got up and her hair was sticking up everywhere and she goes to the bathroom, gets her brush and starts singing "the Hair of the Tiger"( to the tune of eye of the tiger) I was like Hair? and she said " yeah my hair's all wild like a tiger and I gotta tame it!"
hmmm, ok, a little motivational music to get ya pumped up for hair brushin. You go girl.
Then after I took her to school and went to work I actually heard eye of the tiger on the radio! Funny!

Such a Craptacular Monday....

sigh.........boy do I have the Monday blues......ugh!! I think all my pre-k kids were hopped up on Mt. Dew and Pixie Stix today. WOW, I can't even explain how rambunxious(sp??) they all were and in that "button pushin" mood. Is it sad that it's noon on Monday and I am ready for Friday???


Hope everyone had a good w/e! Ours was good, relaxing, except for the trip to Wal Mart on a Sat afternoon to grocery shop. I'm sure THAT sentence needs no further explaination! It wqs so warm this w/e we had our windows open!! So nice! Of coarse the storms came by yesterday afternoon and cooled it off. I so enjoyed it while it lasted though!!

Oh I went to the movies w/ Sher-Bear (Sherri) last week & saw "He's just not that into you". It had it's moments!!!! Not a bad movie, I liked it, but it wasn't as funny as I thought it would be. I also finished reading "The Host" by Stepenie Meyer, great book!!! I can't wait to see what else she comes up w/ in her career cause so far I have loved all her books!

Anyway, got a rumbly in my tumbly so time for lunch!!

Look at all these birds in our yard yesterday!! When they all took off it was this WHOOSH sound ! It was kind of cool but I'm glad those black birds didn't stick around long! Can you imagine all the bird poo they could make?? Yikes!

Random musings from me

First off I have learned a few things this past weekend (not exactly in the order given)

1. Beer and cake don't mix.
2. Drunk texting is not a coherent form of communication.
3. Before calling 911 make sure your carbon monoxide detector has a new battery.
4. My bedroom looks really small when filled with firemen.
5. When going to get your hair cut at a place that offers $5 haircuts , don't be surprised the place looks like a dive & smells weird.
6. When your bedroom is filled with firemen make a calendar for your mother-in-law so she doesn't chew you out for not doing so.
7. When you have a cell phone that isn't working and you can see who's calling or texting but can't answer it or read it, it's like putting a steak in front of a hungry person and telling them they can smell it but can't eat it.

so there you have it, busy w/e I have had. I suppose you are wondering about the firemen.........well Saturday the Carbon M detector was going off non stop and showed a reading of 255 . I called someone I know who is a fireman and he said I should call 911. So I did. And then like 5 ? trucks showed up and I lost count of the firemen. ANYWAY, everything was fine, they said the battery must be bad. Ok, I feel like an ass. I got a new battery though and it turns out the detector is just junk. They don't know this though and probably just thought I was a dummy with a bad battery. My MIL Jennifer thinks it's hilarious and crazy to have a bedroom full of men and not take pics and make a firefighter calendar for HER. Yeah like that would have made me look smarter. "Um while you are all here, do you mind posing for me?? A few of you get on the bed....."

sigh......yeah bet that would've been a great idea........Oh well, gave the neighbors something to gossip about right????

Oh and about the haircut. I decided to try a new place...........oh my.......what can I say? Where do I begin?? Should I start w/ the funky smell??? The 70's decor?? Or maybe the redneck butt crack signs??? hhmmmm......well my first gut impulse was to bolt as fast as possible. But I was feeling a bit reckless, a little "Thelma and Louise" ( remember my "moods") so I decided to stay even though Megan was whispering " Mommy I'm a little scared." So I let the very excited lady cut my hair. And ya know what? I love it!!! Turns out just cause the hairdresser's not sane doesn't mean she doesn't cut hair like pro!

Anyway I have to run, family's hungry and I gotta get dinner ready. (why are men so grumpy when they are hungry?)

well, does anyone watch American Idol?? I love that show!! I have a few I like so far, in fact I think so far who's in the top 12 is right on. I really like Allison, Kris, Adam and Danny. Think it will be a great season. Not sure if I like the new way it's all playing out though. Glad that Tatiana Nicole Del Toro is gone, cause she was spazzy and conceded! She did remind me of this girl Shayla I used to work with. But not in a bad way. There were some I was glad to see go and some I was sad they went already. or maybe I should describe my feelings like

And randy is well, his vocab is limited to lots of "yo's" and "dawg's" and "nah Man's"............. but hey this is only MY OPINION !! which of coarse means diddly squat. doesn't mean I dislike any of them, just dishing about Idol!!! and well it is MY blog so I can write whatever I want right?? Like "the moon is filled with custard." or "monkeys with colored butts freak me out a little."


Anyway, I will be watching to see what happens!! And for the record I think Adam is sexy in a wicked kind of way! As Hiedi said about Adam " I sniff a whiff of gayness from Adam". But who cares????


Oh, I think you all know the song "This Kiss" by Faith Hill??? Well as I was getting ready this morning I heard Megan in her room serenading the cat. She had a bit of a twist on the original version, her's went something like " this cat this cat! Is beautiful! This cat this cat! Is furryful! This cat this cat, is irritable!" I about choked on my darn toothbrush it was so funny! Well I think it's funny, but she is my daughter after all so maybe not everyone thinks it's as cute as I do.

WELL, just an update, apparently the kids find it funny that everytime little boy "A" says my name then screams like Pee wee Herman, that they TOO start screaming at me like Pee wee Herman. It can be rather difficult to persuade a group of 3 & 4 yr olds that this isn't particularly funny. Especially since I don't have my full voice right now and I am trying to get them all to listen. I finally gave up and just started talking about ice cream flavors and they were all about talking some ice cream!!

out of the mouths of babes....

Ok just gotta share my little story from yesterday on my pre-k route. Well I have missed a few days of work due to having Megan home w/ a sinus infection....ANYWAY, whenever I have been MIA and show back up all the lil buggers are so happy to see me they all want to crowd around me and all talk at once to me. I am flooded w/ "where have you been?" will you be here tomorrow?" and "I missed you!" and they all have great things to tell me about their 3,4, and 5 yr lives! it is really sweet!!!! Well onto my story, there's this one little boy "Z" who is the cutest , sweetest and the most well behaved kid on the bus I swear! He gets on and sees me and wants to sit w/ me (awe!). He speaks in the quietest little angel voice! well along the way the 2 kids across from us decide they want to sing for me.....so after choruses of "the itsy bitsy spider" and "dora the explorer" Z taps me on the arm and says very sweetly( through his toothless grin, he's missing 4 top teeth) that he wants to sing me a song too....so I say Ok of coarse and he clears his throat and sweetly starts singing " I like big butts and I cannot lie, you other brothers can't deny that when a girl walks in w/ an itty bitty waist and a round thing in your face you get sprung."

Ok, now how am I suppose to keep a straight face????? I start giggling and he looks at me and says "what? I like that song!" I just told him I liked it to and thanked him for the song.
What can I say?? I mean when my charming daughter was 5 she came running out of her room w/ balloons in her pants singing " I gotta big but and and I cannot lie" and proceeds to shake her big ole balloon butt and smack herself on the rear. sigh......I don't know where she got that from. (silence from all of you!!!!) I know alot of you already know that story and have made comments.....none of which I am repeating.

Anyway that just made me laugh so thought I would share. I also had one boy who probably said my name about 100 times follwed w/ me asking" what?" and him screaming like pee wee herman. Now I better get going because my pre-k route starts in about 30 mins........hard telling what will happen today??????

I have a sick kid home today. Poor baby has a nasty cold! She's been sick since Friday, and even though she's feeling icky she still did well for her swim meet on Saturday. She totally rocked the breast stroke!! Came in 2nd in her heat! woohoo for Megan!!!

The auto repair shop came and towed away the blazer, probably won't have it back til the 2nd week in March! yikes! $2500 worth of damage, hope the deer fared better! Thank God we didn't get hurt!

Oh deer!

Yep, I hit a deer Saturday night. Seriously, what else is there to do on a Saturday night in these neck of the woods??? don't answer that...........and it was Valentine's Day no less!
Luckily we didn't get hurt but I can't say the same for my poor Trailblazer, it's gonna need some major TLC. sigh....... I am just VERY thankful we're fine! It could have been much worse!!

On to a much better topic, we had Megan's Birthday Bash this w/e! We took her and 6 of her friends to a glow in the dark mini golf place. They had so much fun!! The slumber party that followed was full of drama of the tween kind from a couple of the girls. All in all though we survived the night( with a few tears and some threatening to call parents!) I am in no hurry for another slumber party though!!!

Snow Fort

Just had to share some photos I took yesterday. Scott and Megan were building a snow fort yesterday while I went to visit Tina. I took a couple of pics of them before I left, they were just starting it. When I got home they were about finsished and I busted up laughing! Megan comes crawling out of the fort and I see that she is wrapped in plastic! She has on a white garbage bag that looked like a skirt then black plastic wrapped and taped around her legs. I just started laughing and said " why is our child wrapped in plastic bags???" Scott said he did it to keep her dry. Oh, Ok, great idea!!!! Fashionable & functional. heehee. It was just so cute! :-) They did a great job on the fort, I crawled in briefly as I am not one for laying in the snow and enjoying it! brrrr! and I wasn't wrapped in plastic so I got wet. So anyway, thought I'd share some pics!!!

Ok, so I've been a bit busy lately and neglecting my blog. Then after awhile of not blogging I start thinking what should I blog about?? I guess I could start w/ my b-day which was the 18th. I had a very nice b-day! I actually got to celebrate all w/e long! Friday night I went to my friend Tina's and she made me a wonderful steak dinner w/ those yummy twice baked potatoes that I just LOVE and Heather came bearing gifts of strawberry daquiris and chocolate covered bacon. What was that?? yep you read correctly.....chocolate covered bacon. Apparently it's all the rage these days! Who knew??? Who even thought to smother bacon w/ chocolate??? Anyway, my w/e pretty much went along the lines of never having to cook and eating out alot and seeing some family and just being spoiled! Megan even made me breakfast in bed on my bday, scrambled eggs and toast she made all by herself. So sweet!

Other than that it's been the usual, swim practice, swim meets, work, yada yada yada. Megan has championships coming up the end of Feb she's all excited! Her times are improving by a couple of seconds so that's good. Hopefully she'll win some more ribbons. She loves to get those ribbons!! :-)

Hello! Thanks for stopping by! First off I'm sharing a LO I made of CJ ( I really love his senior pics!) and to give credit where credit is due, the papers and embellishments are from a kit from Little dreamer Designs called vintage dream retro. It's a really fun kit!

Megan had swim meets all weekend, she did well. She earned her "Swirl" which means she completed all her Big races in all 4 strokes without getting disqualified! YAY!!!! So now at the end of the season she will get a special team towel. I know, doesn't sound like much but it's a big deal in the swim team world I've been told! :-) We are so proud of her! I wanted to get pics this w/e but I can't find my camera!!!! Very frustrating!

Back to work today......Christmas break went too fast! Although I admit I do miss the kids , just a teeny bit! The first week or so will be crazy though, it always takes them some time to get back in the swing of following rules again! So I may think today "oh I miss those little cuties" but by Wednesday I'll be going " why was break so short???" LOL

I tried to post some layouts I did last night but blogger wont let me! hmmm??? Oh well I'll try later.
