It's almost SPRING!! and other misc hooplah...

Can I get a WOOT WOOT??? I am so ready for some green grass (even though I hate the smell of fresh cut grass) and bright colored flowers!( can't wait to see some tulips and daffodils in the yard!) Especially looking outside today, it is so gloomy! Bluck! It was gorgeous for most of the week but we've been cooped up inside with sinus infections. Double Bluck. Poor Megan's had it the worst!! She has missed all week at school and has ran a fever for 5 days now and her sinuses have been so full she had drainage out her eye! I know, gross right??? (Triple Bluck??) Anyway that part has been a lil freaky , but her eye looks so much better today thank goodness! I have been feeling so bad for her! I just want my girl back to being healthy and happy! I've only worked 3 trips this week which actually isn't a horrible thing considering how crazy things have been at work , but being sick and cooped up is No Fun!

I have to say being home all day.....well.......the whole cabin fever plays a big part (that's my story and I am sticking to it!!) but I think I may have a slight addiction to Ebay!! Oh how I hate to be outbid by those....those sneaky outbidders!!!!!!! Grrrr. Scott was laughing at me last night, he was like " Just go buy whatever it is your after and stop trying to win it at an online auction that you know you will get outbid on." I'm like "Ohhhhh no......I WILL prevail sooner or later and get what I want for less money! I will just have to become one of those I hate, a sneaky outbidder!!" (shutter at the thought)

Congrats to Megan!

The swim meet went great! Megan won a medal in all 3 of her events! 2nd place in breast, and 5th and 8th in her 2 freestyle races! woohoo! way to go punkin!! :-) I did learn that day that some parents are just a-holes and want to blame everyone else for their shortcomings and it's best just to ignore them!! We're there to let the kids swim, not to be mean to each other.....(common sense if ya ask me)

Anyhoo......she was very happy and we're all really proud of her!! I can't seem to load the picture so I'll try again later! I am still trying to figure out the new computer and the photo stuff with this iMac! very different from my old PC!

It's Friday!! Can I get a woot woot???

ahhhh......Fridays, such a wonderful thing!! It's been a Caaarazy week at work ( I always love getting called a b*tch!) These teens are gonna drive me to drink!

In case anyone wondered, Megan's slumber party went fantastic! No drama! No crying! No trashed house! Gotta love it.........

Megan has a big swim meet early tomorrow morning so no sleepin in :-( but there's always Sunday! :-) Speaking of sleeping, finally used to the new bed! Still thinking I might need a step stool to get into it, but hey, it's comfy!! Although if I roll over and get to close to Scott's side he mumbles " neutral zone!" at me. There's his side, my side and the middle is neutral. It's kind of a joke with us because he says I am a bed hog when it's really HIM who is the bed hog!! After all he is always on my side when I wake up, so there!! He's the piggie! oink oink jerkie boy!! ( yeah, he never reads my blog so I am safe!!)

time sure flies! had a good w/e, Megan went to a sleepover on Saturday so Scott and I had a date night! Then on Valentine's day we went to Lone Star for lunch then took Megan shopping at the mall. Her daddy spoiled her just a wee bit but that's ok. :-) She's going to have a slumber party on Sat (wish me luck!) I have a feeling w/ who all she invited there's going to be some drama goin down!

When is Spring getting here???

I hate to rush things and I am not trying to wish my days away, but I am ready for SPRING!! Or at the least some nicer weather! At least it's lovely and green at my Farmville farm! :-) That reminds me, Tina jokingly asked if she could claim her farm on her taxes! heehee! Too funny! The roads were a little iffy in spots today and we were running a few minutes behind anyway because Megan forgot to print out an article for Science class and we were out of printer paper so I had her use the back of one of my time sheets! LOL, ooopsies! Do whatcha gotta do right?

Oh and BTW, the roads were not better when I left again yesterday!! But we lucked out and got to leave 5 mins early from school on my last route! woohoo! (insert sarcasm here)

winter wonderland.....again.......

I don't know, might just be me, but when roads get plowed shouldnt they plow the whole road not just part of it??? Like maybe make room for more than one car to be driving on "road" and not in a" drift"? And yep it is still snowing.......1 route down and 3 more to go! whooppeeee!!! ( I was hoping for a snow day!)

Well, I would love to tell you I slept like a dream on my new bed last night but that isn't the case at all!! They did say to give it a week or 2 to get used to it, so I hope it gets better!! The bed is huge!!!!! It's way taller than our old mattress ( I can turn the ceiling fan and light on with my toes!!! Like monkey feet!!!!) Anyway, Scott took yesterday off to go get it and set it up before the snow hit. Of coarse when he got there the guy we'd been dealing with was gone so he got some jackass who was more worried about flirting with some girl than to help Scott (bad move slick, ya dont know my hubby) so Scott filled out the form wrote a check and when he said he'd take the bed the guy was like, we dont have it and dont know when it will be here. Scott told him we were told they were in stock and the guy was like yeah well we sold them all. SOOOOO.....Scott told him to take a flyin leap and ripped up the check and left with no bed! He called me and said we needed to find a different bed somewhere else. (yay back to square one!) So I took part of the afternoon off and met him in town where we found this other bed and it was in stock and we came home with it. We set it up and just stood there laughing!!! We have a sleigh bed and you can barely see the footboard!! LOL, yeah it's huge! I told him to please install running boards along the side so I can get in the bed. I'm sure it will take me a few nights to get used to it. Tossed and turned all night while he slept and talked in his sleep all night!! ( he has quite the potty mouth!) I'm also thinking I might need a parachute in case I fall out of bed.

Well I guess I should get going and get ready to head back out into the winter wonderland.....maybe the other side of the roads will be plowed now. :-) Have a great day!!

In case you were wondering......

I don't have stones, (diamonds, garnets or Gall)......so that's good news! yay me! :-)

Busy weekend meets Monday morning = tired me. We spent all w/e looking at mattresses for our bed, we need a new one badly! I figured it would be easy to pick one we liked. I was so wrong. It rates right up there (for me) w/ bra and shoe shopping! UGH!! Anyway finally decided on one (yay!!) and ordering it tonight. Next on the agenda, car shopping!! Can I get woot woot!! :-)

Suppose to get more snow today thru Wed, yippee skippee, I hate driving in all the wintery muck, I fear I'll get stuck in the work van w/ teenagers! AHHHHH!! Scary thought! If you knew the teens I am talking about you would understand my fear.....I actually just shivered at the thought.

Megan went to the mall Saturday w/ some of her friends.......I was nervous but Shae's mama was with them so it's not like they were on their own, if that was the case I would have said NO or would have stalked them thru the mall to keep an eye on my child. They did Glo Golf and build a bear and I only called her once to check in (texting doesnt count right??)

Trying to decide what to do for her b-day , she wants a slumber party which is fine but she wants to do something "fun" but unsure what to do.

ok, I KNOW I have been neglecting my blog.....shame on me, I blame it on my addiction to Facebook!! Who has time to blog after reading everyones updates and making comments and checking out new photos, etc etc...... plus I have farmville to harvest and zoo world to tend to....and all the other stuff that pops up like super farkle and sending flowers and gifts....you get the idea! So Tasha, thank you for bringing it to my attention that my blog was being so rudely ignored (and yes being it is February the Christmas background had to go!!) so I apologize to my many ( 4?? 5??) blog readers out there! I should be beaten with a wet noodle and sent to bed without dessert tonight.

I have actually thinking about just saying goodbye to the whole blogging thing......apparently I'm not that good at it!! LOL!!

Anyway, it's been awhile since I posted anything, the holidays were wonderful (even though it is still rough with out Mom) and my birthday (on Jan 18th) was great! I have some amazing people in my life that I am so grateful for!! Thanks to Jody P., Sherri and Tina for my "Mini surprise party" even though I didnt realize it was for me at first....heehee :-) The cake was yummy and there's still a balloon floating around the house. January was sooo busy!!! I (whom hardly EVER goes out) had 3 girls nights in January!! The first for my b-day ( which was a total blast, I hadn't laughed so hard or drank so much in a long long time!!!("it's best just to let her finish" seems to be our new saying) , the 2nd for Mae's get together where board games totally rock and watermelon wine is actually not bad!! Then 3rd over to Sherri's for a Just For Women party......which what can I say about that?? Seen lots of interesting things and tried on lots of smell good stuff that had pheromones in it that supposedly attract your mate (woohoo) but honestly does it actually work???.....it apparently worked on my cat because that night he wouldn't leave me alone! He kept biting me and trying to lay on my head and had his paws in my hair and I woke up once to him trying to hump my arm!! GEESH!!! Not the kinda action one hopes for , getting violated by your cat. That is also the night I came home to find him wearing a purse though, so really, I guess my cat just has some issues at the moment. Not something you see on Animal Planet now is it???

Onto other breaking news (beep beep beep beep)

Megan has a birthday coming up!!! On the 16th my little girl will be 12!!! TWELVE!!!!!! I can't believe it!! Still doing awesome in school, hangin with a new posse as she calls it, and getting ready for Jr Districts in her swimming.She's done really well this season, very proud of her. She has shot up to about 5'5, almost as tall as me! She's taller than a few family members which she giggles about (like Aunt Angie) but I wont mention any names.... :-} She's starting to notice boys are "cute" but doesn't have a BF (cause really, what's the point in that?) and ( most of the boys at school just aren't smart enough) and my favorite, ( I don't know anything about being a girlfriend! I'm just a kid for pete's sake!) So for now Scott and I are safe! :-) Just the way we like it.....we plan on scaring all the boys away anyway...heehee. Speaking of Scott, he's doing fine, working alot and bringing home the bacon! ( Literally, we got a whole pig and a cow too!) I'm still trying to stay sane driving and monitoring all these kids around M-F. So all in all things are peachy.

I had to go have an ultrasound today, I may have gallstones (eww) so see what the Doc says about that next week. If I do have stones I hope they are either diamonds or garnets!! hardy har har! Oh c'mon I may write this garbage but YOU read it!! :-)

So in case it's awhile before I post again, Happy Valentine's Day, St Patrick's Day and Easter!!

I guess Season's Greetings are in order! :-) I am actually almost ready this year....no last minute shopping on the 24th this year!! No tree up yet, hopefully SOON. I am ready to wrap presents ( I want my closets back!! )

Oh before I forget, Megan made student of the month for October! Isn't that cool?? I am so proud of her, she is doing so well in school and making new friends. Yay Megan!! :-)

My friend Tammy had her baby , Isabella Ann, on Sunday, she's so cuuuute!! Congrats Tammy!!

Not much else to tell on the homefront. Things are going well. I hosted Thanksgiving this year for the first time. I think it went well....it was nice to be with my family and I enjoyed it. Didn't have much left over turkey so I guess Scott did a good job!!

Gotta run, going to be late for work if I don't get a move on!! Love to all!

Ok, I found this in my basement last night in Megan's play area. I walk down the stairs and see this...I about die laughing!!!!! I so had to get a picture! I'm guessing it's from the new line, Hostage Ken and Kidnapper Barbie.......it comes with a cotton candy scented ransom note and a pink duffel bag of cash.

I am all alone at the time so I had to wait til much later to ask her about it. She started laughing and explained her and a friend were playing Superheroes and were going to rescue him but then she had to leave so the game didnt get finished!! whew, I was wondering if I should be worried!! LOL!!!

Hello!!!

Wow, haven't been on here in awhile! Hope everyone is doing well. Just been super busy and neglecting my blog. Wanted to post some pics today. I have a bunch!! The ones with Megan and Matt Grevers (Olympic gold medalist) was from early October when she got to meet him at a special swim event and got to swim with him ( I briefly entertained the idea of fake drowning so he could save me(hubba hubba) but thought better of it). Then there's family pics that my friend Sherri took of us, and Halloween pics where Scott and I dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf as Granny (we won 1st place in the costume contest! yay us!!! ) at Pj's. Fun fun!!! October flew by didn't it??? wow! Thanksgiving is around the corner!! Hope everyone has a great week :-) Thanks for checking in with me!!

Hello Fall...

It's been a little chilly the last couple of days! Guess Autumn has arrived! I actually love this time of year!! I think most of you know that already and do not need me to repeat any mushy gushy giddiness about pumpkins and fall colors and chilly air with warm sweaters and all that good stuff I love!! :-) oooh and homemade apple crisp and scented candles that smell like baked yummies...... :-)

Well tomorrow Scott and I will celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary. Time sure does fly by. What do you get someone for the big 1 4 ?? Unfortunately I already know what the big "gift" is...a new radiator for Scott's truck. woohoo... not that I am bitter or anything!! :-)

Megan's first swim meet of the new season is this weekend. Our whole weekend is FULL of swim stuff actually!!!

Poor Megan lost a fight at school with a soccer ball and came home with a busted lip yesterday. I felt so bad for her. She said the teacher came over and asked if she was all right and she said " I just got hit the face with a ball. No I am not all right. " ( that's my girl) so she got sent to the nurse (and missed the rest of PE which she didn't mind) She's got a nasty little cut but she's Ok.

howdy ya'll!

Well pre-k started back up on Tuesday......I just love this age! They are so stinkin cute!! So far it's going good. We had one "melt down" on the first day. This little boy was so excited when he got on the bus, then we pulled out of his driveway and he started crying. I tried to calm him down but he just wanted his mommy. ( poor lil guy!) he cried all the way to school.Yesterday when we went to get him his mom walked him down the drive and he saw the bus and bolted!! She caught him and he was yelling " I'm not going!!!" She got him walking back to the bus again and he got right by the bus and threw his bag and she went to get it and he took off again and she was chasing him through the yard and he's zig zagging and she keeps missing him and he made it back to the house and grabbed onto the porch screaming " no I'm not going to school!!! Nooooo!!! " Finally she decided to take him herself. The driver and I were laughing so hard watching her chase him all over. He's a quick one!! We'll see how today goes!! He is so tiny and just scared to death, poor thing! I've got several kiddos I had last year. My little sweet boy from last year got on and said " Oh Tacie I am just so excited to see you!" he soooo got brownie points for that!! He's the one last year who said we should go out for dinner together but I'd have to drive. Heehee!

Went to the Labor Day parade (over 2 hours) a little disapointed, they don't have all the floats like they used to. Got to see some friends I havent seen in years! That was really cool. Also got to see dad and my sisters and their kids. So it was a great day!

It's been so foggy the last 2 days, I hate it! makes me want to crawl back into bed, if the sun's not shining does that mean I have to get up??? UGh!! :-)

TGIF!

Hello!! Just wanted to tell you all to have a safe and wonderful weekend! I am looking forward to 3 days off! Might even go to the Labor Day parade on Monday.

Megan starts up with swim practice tonight. Time to get back into that groove after being off for a few weeks. Poor kid is all stuffed up too, hopefully just allergies and we don't get into a full blown cold. I know my sinuses have been complaining! But the weather has been so nice!

Back at it!

Back to school and work ! Our first day was Tuesday. So far so good I guess. Megan's trying to get adjusted to Jr High and juggling all the changes that go along with it. Already brought home fundraiser stuff the 2nd day of school! I think I might be challenged a bit with my routes but actually that's pretty typical.

Thanks to all my friends putting up with yet another email change from me! Guess I am lucky ya love me!! Even though Mae wants to boycott me!

Ok, so I mixed my sister's anniversary dates up, thinking Debbie's was the 15th, when it's the 25th, Carla's is Sept 15th, DUH! So hey I'm not late and may get you a card out yet Deb!! LOL

Where did our Summer go??

Wow, Summer went by quick! It feels like I blinked and now it's time to start school again. I know I haven't been doing well keeping up my blog. I haven't been scrapbooking either! What's wrong with me?? LOL

Well I am finally feeling better after a bout with a very nasty virus. At first the Dr thought I might have viral meningitis! SCARY! But finally decided I had a virus of sorts, vertigo and sinus infection. Yay me????? Anyway after about 2 weeks feeling like kaka I am doing better. We went to the fair last night and got to see 2 white tigers, they were amazing!! Megan got to feed them. She was freaked out!! and arent we good parents............(Megan) "I dont want to feed them I am scared!" (us) "just do it, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity, dont worry there's a fence between you and 1000 lbs of tiger! have fun!"
Anyway, I thought it was super cool!! I have a video of it but I don't know how to get it on here?? So maybe I will have Scott help me later.

I hope everyone has had an enjoyable summer! Ours was filled with swim practices, bowling, and movies!! We saw a lot of movies this summer! Transformers 2, land of the lost, Ice age 3, Harry Potter, ....think that's it! mmmmmmmmmmmm, movie popcorn................oh...what was I saying?? :-) Megan wants to see Aliens in the attic, Shorts, and G Force. She's also been reading a book series this summer called Animorphs. There's 54 books in the series. I've been reading a series by MaryJanice Davidson about a vampire queen , it is hilarious!!! If ya dont like cursing though don't bother reading these books! Queen Betsy has a potty mouth!!

Well Megan is all ready to start Jr.High on Tuesday. I can't believe it!! seems like only yesterday she was making butt prints in her play dough and smearing marshmallows on the TV.......
